The School had its beginnings in 1862. In 1906 the school came under the Code of Regulations for European Schools. From August 1923 the management of the school is under the governing body of the Apostolic Carmel Education Society of Kozhikode registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.
In 1972 the School got affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations,
